A study of two communities of the New Jersey Pine Barrens and a comparison of methods [by] Murray F. Buell and John E. Cantlon.

The aim of this study is to compare the structure of the vegetation of two of the upland forest stands in the New Jersey Pine Barrens. At the same time, an attempt is made to ascertain the comparability of data obtained by the quadrat method and those obtained by the transect method. The data were obtained in 1948 and 1949 during the months of June and July. The two areas studied are in the Lebanon State Forest near New Lisbon, New Jersey.
